She was born in Patras and studied at the Department of History & Archaeology of the University of Ioannina and in postgraduate level at the Department of History & Archaeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
From the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she received her Master's degree in 1998 (main topic: "The cult in Epirus during the Hellenistic period") and her PhD in 2007 on the topic "The cults of gods and heroes in Upper Macedonia during antiquity (Elimeia, Eordaia, Orestis, Lyncestis)", which was published in 2011 by University Studio Press editions.
From 1991 to 2005 she worked at the university excavation of Dion Pieria, and at the Ministry of Culture, in systematic and rescue excavations in Achaia (ΣΤ΄Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities) and mainly in Macedonia [Thessaloniki and the broader region / (ΙΣΤ΄Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities)].
Since 2006 she has been working at the Archaeological Service (ΙΣΤ΄Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities) and in 2007 she was assigned to the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, where she served in the Department of Metalwork, Stone & Miniature Collections, and later in the Department of Sculpture, Frescoes and Mosaics.
Her research interests include Ancient Greek Religion, Sculpture, Epigraphy, Iconography, Topography, Corinthian Pottery.
She has contributed with papers in Greek and international conferences and has published articles, chronicles and statistical studies, as well as texts and articles in catalogues of exhibitions of museum collections. She has also contributed to the teaching of postgraduate courses in the Department of History and Archaeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Postgraduate Studies Program (MSc) of the Department of Medicine of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has organized and contributed to the teaching of the 1st Summer school for foreign postgraduate students and doctoral candidates at the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.
Member of the International Centre for the Study of Ancient Greek Religion (CIERGA/Athens/Liège) and of the Seminar the Antigonid Network (Universities of Southampton and Exeter, UK).
