The Cultural Path of Wine

Project Summary

Project VINE_ROUTE: The Cultural Path of Wine is a cross-border cooperation project co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Greece–Bulgaria 2021–2027 Programme..

VINE_ROUTE highlights the shared viticultural heritage of Northern Greece and Southern Bulgaria through a cross-border cultural route that connects ancient wine traditions with modern tourism.

Linking museums, archaeological sites, wineries and local communities, the route which extends across the entire cross-border region, brings thousands of years of viticultural history to life.

Through innovative tools such as a multilingual AI-powered app, AR experiences, interactive hubs and educational Museum Boxes, the project offers immersive visitor experiences while promoting regional identity, sustainable development and the area as a leading cultural and gastronomic destination.
