The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki hosts the multidisciplinary event of the International Film Festival AGON. As part of the event, screenings of selected films awarded at the 12th International Archaeological and Cultural Documentary Festival AGON will take place, along with an art exhibition in collaboration with the organization Humanlinks – Human Bonds, and a concert featuring songs from Asia Minor.

The Festival’s films, which has been held since 1996, are human-centered, addressing people worldwide and the global community, sparking discussion and interaction with the audience.

Themes such as migration and multiculturalism, as a result of conflicts between peoples that shape new geography, language blending, customs, and new cultures, reflect AGON’s deep concern for humanity, especially in our time, an era of continuous wars and massacres "between people who do not know each other, for the benefit of people who do know each other but do not kill each other".

At the same time, AGON, in collaboration with Humanlinks – Human Bonds, embraces the struggles of the “other” people hosted in psychiatric clinics, presenting their works to the public. Specifically, the traveling art exhibition “The Other Person… Every Person” will be showcased.

Finally, with the aim of creating a dialogue between nations and languages, a concert featuring selected songs from Asia Minor will be performed by Vasilis Kasouras and Despina Filippou.
