ITER VITIS: Cultural Vine Tourism in Action

The annual ITER VITIS 2025 Conference and Awards took place from 16 to 18 October in Thessaloniki and Naoussa. The event was organized by the Iter Vitis Federation, in collaboration with the Directorate of International Relations and the European Union of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, the Region of Central Macedonia, the Municipality of Naoussa, and the Winemakers’ Association of Northern Greece, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.

As a station on the Cultural Route of the Council of Europe “Iter Vitis – Les Chemins de la Vigne,” the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki was represented at the conference “ITER VITIS – Les Chemins de la Vigne en Europe: Cultural Vine Tourism in Action” by its General Director, Dr. Anastasia Gadolou, who chaired and commented on the opening thematic session on Friday, 17 October 2025.

On Saturday, 18 October 2025, the Museum participated in the annual general assembly hosted by the Municipality of Naoussa and, on the same day, welcomed all Iter Vitis members to the Museum for a guided tour along the “Wine Stories” route of the Museum On The Go digital application, which in 2024 received the award for “Best Technological Tool for Wine Tourism and Cultural Tourism”.
