General Directorate

The General Directorate of the Museum has as its main strategic objectives the coordination and efficient operation of its departments, the evaluation of the work produced, as well as participation in research programs and collaborations with scientific and cultural institutions.

In addition, it promotes the use of new technologies, the development of international collaborations with museums, and the exchange of know-how, with the aim of upgrading research and the museum experience.


The Director General of the Museum is responsible for scientific, research, and administrative planning, as well as for its implementation.

He/she represents the Museum in scientific, archaeological, and exhibition activities, and has responsibilities that include proposing and organizing exhibitions and events, managing financial resources, evaluating departmental services, and supervising staff.

In addition, he/she is responsible for drafting the annual budget, the balance sheet, and the annual activity report, as well as for ensuring the smooth operation of the Museum.
